Kids in Action Before and After School Program, School Holidays, and Summer Camp is for kids Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. We are excited to offer academic assistance and fun, structured activities in a safe and caring environment. The Kids in Action program is a very ACTIVE program.   The children rarely sit down, except for homework time.  The counselors actively engage the kids in structured games and activities from the moment homework is complete to the time parents pick them up.

The after-school kids will have a variety of both educational and physical activities to enjoy, all included in tuition. This includes, but not limited to:

  • Monitored study room for the kids to complete their assignments for the day
  • Kids In Action age-appropriate curriculum
  • Indoor rock-climbing wall
  • Kid Fit and Counselor Choice activities every Friday
  • On-site swimming pool
  • Large outdoor play structure
  • Field trips on in-service days
  • Indoor gym and obstacle course

Our biggest complaint from parents:  "My child doesn't want to go home!"

Our pre-school sets us apart from the average "child care," in that the pre-school program is a SCHOOL FIRST, meaning that between the hours of 8:15 and 2:15, it's academic time.  After 2:15, it's fun, "after-school" time.

The Kids in Action Tots are divided up into two rooms:  The Pre-Tots Hungry Caterpillar Room and the Two's Dr. Seuss room.  The Kids in Action teachers implement the awesome curriculum of Frog Street Press.  The teachers foster creativity and learning with our centers.  All children have the opportunity to explore centers, such as Dramatic Play, Manipulatives, blocks, Literacy, Art, fine and gross motor.

The Infant room is a nurturing environment for babies 6 weeks to 1 year of age.  The environment fosters discovery, cognitive, social and sensory experiences.  Our experienced teachers help each child with both gross and fine motor development, using the Kids in Action lesson plans to enhance that experience.  To help encourage communication, the teachers also work on sign language.

The classroom is stocked with age-appropriate toys.  Each child can start learning as early as possible, from tummy-time with friends to listening to Mozart, our loving teachers and clean facility provides an excellent start for your little one.  Trusting someone to care for your most precious gift is not to be taken lightly.  Communication between parents and caregivers is crucial and information sheets are provided to parents on a daily basis.

"Before we enrolled my grandson into Kids in Action my grandson cried every day when attending a state-of-the-art childcare facility. At Kids in Action he's excited about going to school each day. He has learned so much to prepare him for kindergarten next year at Humble ISD. We highly recommend Kids in Action."  - B. Fleming, via Facebook, January 2, 2017
